Welcome to MAPI!

Our organization, Martial Arts in the Public Interest, is a non-profit school with a focus on healing, creating community, and supporting each individual's journey through the martial arts. Our mission is to help instill the concepts of self-discipline, respect, and self-control in the larger community. We strive to offer young people alternative definitions of power and control to impart a sense of pride and self-esteem.

The style taught is Quantum Martial Arts -- Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Boxing, and Wing Chun blended together to create a practical, street-wise approach to self-defense. The style is the creation of our Chief Instructor, Master Rachael Evans, who has been exploring and expanding her martial arts for 25 years.
